Laura Shoop will replace Laura Michelle Kelly as Fiddler on the Roof's Hodel. She is set to begin performances in the Tony-nominated revival on June 11.

Shoop was recently seen in the ensemble of the Thoroughly Modern Millie tour, for which she also understudied the roles of Millie and Miss Dorothy. The actress made her Broadway debut playing Vivian in Oklahoma!. She additionally covered Laurey and Ado Annie and went on as both characters. A graduate of Julliard School's Dance Program, she has appeared regionally in Carousel at Paper Mill Playhouse, Lady in the Dark at Prince Music Theater and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at Sacramento Music Circus.

Hodel is Tevye's second-oldest daughter in Fiddler on the Roof. She falls in love with the revolutionary Perchik, eventually singing the song "Far From the Home I Love" before running away to Siberia to be with him.

Kelly is this revival's original Hodel. She was only contracted for a brief time because she is the title star of the upcoming musical version of Mary Poppins, trying out at the Hippodrome in Bristol beginning on September 15 and opening at the West End's Prince Edward Theatre on December 15.

Fiddler on the Roof, directed by David Leveaux, will continue to star Alfred Molina, Randy Graff, Nancy Opel, Sally Murphy, Tricia Paoluccio, Lea Michele, Molly Ephraim, John Cariani, Robert Petkoff and David Ayers.
